| SVOBODA, Larry eMail address: lsvoboda1@houston.rr.com Nicholas MUFFLY was born about 1707 at Zweisimmen, Canton Bern, Switzerland. He immigrated to America aboard the ship "Wilhelm" from Rotterdam, arriving at Philadelphia 31 October 1737. I am curious to know if anyone has done research in Switzerland as to whom his parents were and if he had brothers and sisters. I would also like to know something of the culture in those times, what type of work they did at this time, and reasons for leaving. It would also be nice to know if he had any relatives that had come before or after. I know that he married a Miss WYANT and she bore four children, the first being Peter who is my direct ancestor. I will be happy to exchange any information that I have. I wonder if there are any existing wills and probate records in Switzerland. Maybe someone can answer my questions. |
