| SIEVERS, Mary Lou ACOBERT eMail address: mamelu@worldclassconnection.com (Roman Catholic) Joseph ECABERT was born 16 December 1816 in Switzerland. I found in the US Federal census in 1860. Joseph ECABERT was my great grandfather. ECABERT was later changed to ACOBERT by the portion of the family residing in Indiana. Apparently others kept it as ECABERT. Joseph did not marry until he was at New Albany, Indiana. In 1852 he married Francoise DURANT and in 1858 he married Rose JORDAN. I cannot locate either death and have no idea where they are buried. He is buried here at Vincennes, Indiana. His children were Rose, Mary, Jean, Emma, Joe and August. I don't even know what happened to others. Joe was my grandfather. Any information would be greatly appreciated. |
